Our Mission

Our Mission at Bennington Fire Rescue is to protect life and property in our community through fire prevention, suppression, education, enforcement and emergency medical response.

About Bennington Fire

Bennington Fire Rescue is located in the Monadnock Region of Southern New Hampshire. Our department provides fire and emergency medical services to the Town of Bennington, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to a population of aproximately 1500 spread out over eleven square miles. Additionally, as proud part of a close-knit community, we regularly respond to nearby towns and cities in New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts! Our department operates out of one station located in the center of Bennington equipped with an engine, tanker, rescue/EMS unit, and a forestry unit.

Bennington Fire Rescue is made up of 13 Paid Call members. Our membership consists of electricians, chemists, equipment operators, truck drivers, carpenters, automotive technicians and highway workers. Despite our current numbers, we continue to actively seek people to come join our team. As a member of Bennington Fire Rescue, you will receive all of the necessary training to become a Firefighter or EMT. Experience in the fire service is helpful, but by no means required. Bennington FD Association

The Bennington Fire Department Association is comprised of fire department members, their families, and other individuals who want to support the fire department but don’t want to be a active fire fighting member (active firefighting members pertaining of paid staff and auxiliary firefighters).The association raises funds to support the members, and is used in multiple ways such as supplying food and drinks at extended fire scenes and supporting other local charities such as the Red Cross of New Hampshire.

The Association meets every other month on the 1st Tuesday Night of that month. Currently the meetings are on the even months. The officers of the association are voted on by the association on the first Tuesday in January every year.
